Ship Wreck Bay
Liam was running all over the place, exploring
He definitely had to get on board to inspect the deck
It was necessary to try out the cannons
And of course, the water slide was a must
And of course, he needed to pose by it (with his signature hook-hand)
Playing in the lagoon with Michelle and Cole was fun as well
Liam was amused by the umbrella waterfall
The family got a picture in front of Pirate Rock (yeah, I'm not in it)
Cole and Michelle were enjoying the fun as well
Though Cole did get cold quickly and needed a warm snuggle
As fun as the pirate ship was, I think Liam's favorite part was THIS:
And it was because every couple of minutes, the huge bucket would overfill and tip over, showering everyone below in a huge SPLASH! (I have no pictures of him in it, because I was enjoying it with him)
Cole wasn't so sure about all the splashing, but I managed to get a good shot
Maia was also not a fan of the spraying water, but she was thoroughly content to take off down the "boardwalk" (I think because it was novel to be allowed to just walk and walk and walk) and Liam loved following her

After we had our fill of the water rides (we, meaning the adults), we got dressed and headed to the dry rides. But not before stopping for another piratey picture.
We started off with an easy train ride
Then Liam tried out a helicopter ride, which he found thrilling
He had even more fun in the huge play area, and started off in the ball bit
He found lots of tunnels to climb through, and ropes to climb
Eventually he made his way to the very top
And then it took a while for him (even with my help) to figure out how to get back down again. But eventually we extracted him, and called it a successful day.
He has been asking when we can go back again, insisting it's still hot enough to go swimming. I told him that, sadly, the park is closed for a while, since Labor Day is past, but that we would probably go again next year. I am actually considering getting discounted season passes through work, and making it a point to go a few times next year.
